The ODES-Y is a short, youth-friendly tool for early identification of disordered eating that can be used in clinical settings, primary care, child and youth mental health settings, youth service organizations, surveillance and research.

The ODES-Y was built using a combination of cognitive interviewing methods and consultation with expert clinicians and epidemiologists in eating disorders, obesity, and child and youth mental health, to allow for usage of the tool in varying real-world contexts.

If you are interested in learning more, we invite you to read the paper on the ODES-Y to learn more about the development and validation of the tool.
